GREAT entry! I'm a HUGE fan of yoga although I haven't done it in a LONG time. I have a few DVDs and although I love doing yoga and the feel afterwards...those particular videos are no fun to listen to or watch...LOL. I'll have to look into that A.M. and P.M. Yoga though! Thanks for sharing!! :D

Oooh - I love Rodney Yee!. His am yoga got me started on it and I'm with you. After 20 minutes I"m done.

I bought his yoga burn dvd for strength and do the first 20minutes to 1/2 an hour on it once a week and that too has made a difference.

Nice blog.

I hear they are even doing yoga classes on horseback.

I also have an ongoing knee problem with a little arthritis thrown in for good measure, I know yoga is good for your flexibility but I have never really given it an honest try. Thanks for the info on Rodney, I will get the tapes and give it a go. Remember Denise Austin who could forget that perkiness, and Kathy Smith too, for once I would like someone to make a tape that shows people who really hate to exercise and grumble the whole time like I do. It would probably be a best seller.

Sabrina

Hey there...I have something for you on my blog! :D Check it out! ;)

I hate yoga! But you've almost convinced me. For results, I could spare the time. Does it take long to learn how to do the 20 minutes on this DVD?

I used to have a rule when I worked out at a local gym. I would take their heavyhands class a few times a week, but if I was tired and in a bad mood (always!), I got to leave the minute the perky instructor squealed. I'm with MiKael. Give me a tape with a grumpy instructor who isn't perky and doesn't squeal.

Great Post. I actually wish there was a Yoga for Equestrians video. In Eugene, OR (where I live), Yoga is very popular but my favorite Yoga classes are for those with special needs or limited mobility, often called 'gentle' yoga. If you are looking to get started, that is the best way because they are very attentive to those with medical issues. To this day, I enjoy those classes most.

You've just been tagged for a "meme". Come on over for the rules.......It's fun!

I found your blog from Pioneer Woman's.

I have the Rodney Yee AM/PM Yoga although I don't use it as much anymore. Some of the things he instructs gets on my nerves - the "open your groins" and "let your eyeballs roll into the back of your head" or whatever he says, got a little annoying after a while.

It is a very relaxing DVD, though.

Doc's Sports Picks Guru

My wife does pilates and let me just say that I wholeheartedly support it!

Also, this is kind of a random question, but do you think you will have any posts leading up to the Kentucky Derby and other Triple Crown races? Would love to get your insight on the field, if you follow that sort of thing.

When I found your post, I had to laugh. I've just started yoga to improve my dressage riding. I do to a live class and then have a book to work from at home. How many days are your training? I find I only have two real days a week to devote to yoga. I am going to try to work up a morning routine that doesn't take too much time :) Elizabeth

I read your whole article and I loved your article. Today there is work load and stress at work place so for reducing this stress yoga has become necessary. It keeps the people fit and fine away from all the health problems. And I have some good yoga tips at http://www.jiyohealthy.com/category/stress/

we may judge a man’s ability by three things :by what he has done (including the impression he has made on others ),by what he himself appears to believe he can do ,by our own dramatic imagination ,based on his immediate personality ,of what he might do. If these do not agree it is prudent to observe him further.
